Every bit counts or something like that

So some YouTube accounts set up a month long challenge of putting up your harvest for the winter and so many follow.  I live in the desert where it is 100+ degrees. My garden is basically waiting until fall. So I am not out in my garden harvesting. I should back track on that I did pull my garlic last month and let it dry. So for my daily putting up harvest I have made 31 garlic pucks for the freezer and 3 rows of garlic slices in the dehydrator. I poured them into a glass pint jar and I have half. You would think I would be finished. Oh no, the bowl is still three fourth's full. I can only peel and prepare garlic for maybe a few hours before the smell overcomes me. I drove my family nuts with the garlic so much that we had spaghetti/meatballs and garlic bread. I took one of the garlic pucks and melted butter to spread on the bread. A new favorite.

I have been cleaning out the tomato plants. My mulcher can only handle so much. I am trying to give my pepper plants a chance. The marigold flowers we planted have grown so tall but no flowers. Same thing with my Cosmos.

Weaving world: I had my grand daughter over and she worked on her blanket. Tonks, our cat, gave her some trouble playing with the shuttle. Well, today I was working on the project this morning and then quit for a while. When I came back I put the shuttle through and it went fast out the other side. I felt the two ends and realized Tonks had chewed on them. Never a dull moment with those Tabby cats around.

I am learning things about my floor loom. I have had to adjust the tie ups even though I am using the same pattern, since the threading there has been some loosening up. I am still warping the next project. I would think as the kittens get older they would want to sleep more that doesn't seem to happen. I do love the warping mill, the sixteen yard warp can be daunting, but it makes it easier for me.

Since I didn't post this I will add on some new information. Last night we had a strange storm. We got hit with hail. Yep, in Phoenix we got hail. Not there is a joke about Phoenix is hotter than Hades. So this is the ice kind of hail. I haven't been outside to see what damage if any it has done on my garden. I can only hope it shocked the Cosmos into flowering!
